- Each set of aligners should be worn at all times – even when you sleep, removing them only to eat or drink, unless you’ re drinking water only.
- When you are eating, place the aligners in provided case. This will protect them from loss, breakage and contamination. Do not store aligners in a hot car.
- Aligners can be cleaned with your toothbrush and a soft soap or toothpaste. Aligners should be cleaned each morning and night before going to bed. DO NOT CLEAN YOUR ALIGNERS BY BOILING THEM IN WATER.
- When removing the aligner, start in the back and move slowly forward to move the aligner away from the attachments until it is completely out of the mouth.
- Never flex the material in the middle. Pull the appliance off the teeth from both sides of the mouth at the same time.
- When seating the aligner, start from the back and gently seat the aligner around the attachments as you move forward in the mouth.
- If your aligners are ever lost or broken, please call the office immediately. If time is lost not wearing your aligners, your treatment time could be extended.
